Super fun, very wild cup. That was my first thought with this one, and it held up all the way through.
My notes
Dried strawberries up front, bright lemon on the finish. Sweet, lively, and a little untamed in the best way. This is the kind of coffee that reminds me why I fell in love with washed Colombians in the first place.
About this coffee
This is the Edinson Argote Maragesha from Moon Goat Coffee Roasters. It comes from Quebraditas Farm in Oporapa, Huila, Colombia, grown by producer Edinson Argote. The lot is an advanced washed Maragesha, a variety that brings a real sparkle to the cup.
Moon Goat lists strawberry, bergamot, and candied lemon in their notes. I got the strawberry and lemon for sure, with a dried-fruit sweetness that lingered.
