PublicUs 4th Wave Blend

☕ Coffee Review

PublicUs 4th Wave Blend

House blend at PublicUs, Las Vegas: Brazil, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Colombia Huila. Raspberry up front, nice acidity and sweetness, so drinkable black.

My notes

Drank it black at PublicUs in downtown Las Vegas, twice in one trip because it earned the repeat. Raspberry up front, with a nice acidity and sweetness running through the whole cup. Just so drinkable. It would take cream well too, if that is your thing.

About this coffee

The 4th Wave Blend is PublicUs's house blend: Brazil San Sebastian de Grama, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, and Colombia Huila. The roaster's printed notes are toffee, brown sugar, and juicy grapefruit, and the sweetness in the cup backs that up, even if my palate kept landing on raspberry first. PublicUs is a canteen-style coffeebar at 1126 Fremont St in the Fremont East district that roasts its own coffee. The name is a nod to the fourth wave idea: independent shops, short supply chains, coffee as a community hub. A retail bag runs $20 at the counter.

Would I drink it again? Already did.
