Drank it black, brewed on the Fellow Aiden, and this is one of those cups that disappears fast. Creamy milk chocolate up front, a silky mouthfeel all the way through, and a green apple acidity that keeps it lively. The bag promises nougat, green apple, and chocolate wafer, and honestly my palate landed in the same place.
This is a two-producer lot from Mozonte, Nueva Segovia: Alberto Ramos of Finca Entre Rios and Manuel Rosales of Puma Coffee, the exporter behind most of Huckleberry's Nicaraguan coffees. It's a washed coffee, which is exactly why the cup reads so clean, the apple note coming through bright instead of funky.
Would I drink it again? Already planning to. I'm visiting their Denver shop tomorrow and if the bar tastes like the bag, I'm bringing more home. This one would also take creamer very well, though I drank it black and didn't miss a thing.
